Het is alweer 2 weken geleden dat ik de taart weer uit de oven toverde, maar ik kan het niet laten om toch even de foto's te plaatsen van deze heerlijke taart. Vreemd genoeg zie ik wel de taart uit 2010 met link naar de taart uit 2009 en het recept, maar niet een taart uit 2011. Kennelijk maakte ik toen geen pie, waarschijnlijk doordat Ztje weg was vanwege de puppies en ik ook veel op weg was in die periode.

Maar dit jaar was ik weer de pineut natuurlijk. Hoewel de taart erg lekker is, vind ik het ontzettend veel werk en doe ik iedere keer wel iets verkeerd. Hoewel... ik zie toch echt op de foto's van de bereiding van 2010 dat ik het deeg met de kneders maakte, wat dit jaar niet lukte, waardoor ik het gewoon op de hand deed, wat veel sneller ging. Helaas dus wel extra afwas van de kloppers en de bak, en dat terwijl de bak vetvrij moet zijn om goed de eiwitten stijf te kunnen slaan. Grrrrr volgend jaar dus gewoon op de hand zonder extra afwas!

Dit jaar dubbele hoeveelheid deeg gemaakt, en dat smaakte erg goed, hoewel de achterkant van de taart wel iets dunner mag zijn, maar dat is lastig in te schatten als je de vorm aan het bedekken bent met het deeg. Ook had ik - na een tip van een tv programma - het deeg eerst in plastic een uurtje in de koelkast gelegd, maar dat was helemaal niet handig, want toen was het veel te stijf om uit te kunnen rollen. Volgend jaar maar weer gewoon na bereiding uitrollen en daarna met vorm en al even in de koelkast.

Ook had ik gelezen over afkoelen van de gele massa voordat het eiwit erop moest, maar dat deed ik ook niet, en ik vogde dus gewoon het recept. Ik vind het nog steeds lastig om die gele vulling 'ploppend' te krijgen, want het recept klopt niet helemaal blijkbaar en het is enorm rommelen met een maizena papje om dat alsnog goed te krijgen. Dit jaar had ik per ongeluk een paar klontjes (die je overigens niet proefde maar alleen zag). Dat is jammer.

Verder weinig gekke dingen, behalve dat ik dit jaar voor het sap van de citroenen de juicer gebruikte. Voor de sinaasappel ook, alleen vergat ik de schil eraf te halen en gelukkig proefde ik dat het enorm bitter was geworden en kon ik dat dus even opnieuw doen. Stom, want ik gooi natuurlijk nooit een sinaasappel met schil en al in de juicer.

Dit jaar 'liep' de taart minder en als het verjaardagsbeest nou volgend jaar iets langer kan wachten met aansnijden, dan zal het helemaal goed gaan want de taart moet toch echt even een paar uur 'staan' voordat er gesneden kan worden. Maar het was weer lekker. De dag na het maken zelfs nog lekkerder!

Edit: na zoeken in mijn fotomapjes, zie ik natuurlijk wel degelijk de taart van 2011 ertussen staan. Blijkbaar is die nooit in de tuin gekomen. Ik wist namelijk zeker dat ik al eerder de Fussili gebruikte als vulling tijdens het bakken in plaats van de tuinbonen!
