Ik heb links een raar oog dat zich slecht laat corrigeren met een bril of lenzen. Normaal draag ik daglenzen, die je dus na een dag dragen weggooit. Dat betekent geen doosjes en vloeistoffen of andere ellende, maar iedere dag gewoon een schone lens. Niet optimaal nog steeds, want ik krijg er nog steeds droge ogen mee en echt goed kan ik er ook niet mee zien. Nu mijn lenzen weer bijna op zijn, probeer ik eens wat andere lenzen om te zien of een andere lens beter bevalt. Ik heb nog oudere lenzen in de kast, en die voelen ook niet slecht maar zijn niet meer te krijgen.

Tijdens mijn speurtocht stuit ik ineens op 'dag en nacht' lenzen. Nou moet ik daar niets van hebben, want het lijkt me helemaal niet goed om de ogen af te sluiten met lenzen, maar voor op reis zou het best eens handig kunnen zijn. Zeker op de boot altijd kunnen zien, lijkt me ideaal. Ik zie alleen totaal niet hoe ik met die droge ogen lenzen langer dan 24 uur in zou kunnen houden. Maar wie weet. Toch eens proberen en ik zet mijn speurtocht voort naar een setje betaalbare lenzen, want de lenzen kosten hier al gauw 60 euro voor een doosje van 6 lenzen. De lens zou zogenaamd 30 dagen mee moeten gaan. 30 dagen non stop dragen? Lijkt me niet, maar een paar dagen zou handig kunnen zijn.

Ik vind de lenzen in het land van herkomst voor 37 euro en besluit het maar eens te proberen. Vorige week kwamen de lenzen binnen en afgelopen maandag besluit ik ze te proberen.

Ze voelen goed in eerste instantie en ik kan er vrij helder mee zien. In de avond ga ik slapen en tot mijn verrassing kan ik natuurlijk ineens nog even zonder bril journaal kijken en daarna gewoon in slaap vallen.

Gisterenochtend word ik wakker en snap ik in eerste instantie niet waarom ik alles zo duidelijk zie. O ja! Die lenzen. Maar wat een rare ervaring, want als ik een keer in slaap sukkel met mijn daglenzen overdag en na een uurtje mijn ogen open, plakken de lenzen al aan mijn ogen vast. Nu niet. Ik voel niks, maar kan gewoon zien. Ook vanmorgen sta ik op en kan ik zien. Dat is wel heel bijzonder als je normaal als blinde mol opstaat! Ook nu voel ik weer helemaal niets van de lenzen.

Ik sta paf, want niet alleen is het leuk dat ik de lenzen dus kan verdragen voor wat langere tijd, ik kan er ook nog eens heel goed mee zien.

Dat ligt misschien ook aan het materiaal, want iedere lens is van ander materiaal, met andere laag en ook een ander vochtgehalte en zuurstofdoorlatendheid.

Ik zou ze echt niet heel lang non stop durven dragen maar ideaal is het wel, zeker als je een keer heel vroeg op moet staan, of een lange dag hebt of iets dergelijks, of op reis.

Ben benieuwd of ze werkelijk bevallen. Wordt vervolgd. Maar dat opstaan en meteen kunnen zien is wel bijzonder.

Het klinkt allemaal heel positief:-) Wat fijn zou het zijn als je goede eerste ervaring blijvend is.
