fietsrondje 3 - moordrecht/waddinxveen 44 km

Vandaag wilde ik een rondje fietsen met een doel. Eerst naar Moordrecht om uitleg te krijgen over verschillende navigatiesystemen voor outdoor gebruik, zoals de Garmin Dakota 20, Oregon 450(t) en 550(t) en de Edge 800. Daarna wilde ik door richting Waddinxveen om een fietsbelletje te kopen, te kijken naar een helm en een bidon.

Eerst maar eens op pad dan en het hele eerste stuk over de dijk had ik een straffe tegenwind. Dat kost me altijd ontzettend veel moeite omdat ik dan zowel kracht als adem tekort kom. Maar goed.. rustig aan, dan breekt het lijntje niet. Moordrecht is makkelijk te vinden en toen ik in Moordrecht was, heb ik gemakzuchtig de Nuvi 250 even aangezet die op mijn fietsstuur zat. Ik had ook een route in mijn zak die iemand voor me gemaakt had via de fietsbond website.

De route langs de IJssel blijft toch wel erg mooi. Links natuur en rechts de IJssel met de boten.

De uitleg was verhelderend. De Montana viel meteen al af door het enorme formaat. Van die andere dingen weet ik nou nog steeds niet of het echt handig is. Alles valt of staat met de juiste kaart. En als je het geval dan wilt gebruiken in duitsland, nederland en engeland, dan loopt dat al snel aardig in de papieren, zeker met verschillende doelen als wandelen of fietsen. Ik weet het niet. Buiten sprak ik nog met iemand die de Edge 605 (ofzoiets) had, en daar erg tevreden over was. Dat ding is tenminste een stuk kleiner dan die andere systemen die toch vrij dik en zwaar zijn en dus niet handig zijn/lijken tijdens het lopen. Alles maar eens even laten bezinken denk ik.

Daarna door naar Waddinxveen naar een enorme fietsenhandel, gericht op MTB, racefiets en hybrides. Je weet niet wat je ziet, ik was er al eerder voor een fietsbroekje. Toen was het ontzettend druk, nu gelukkig ietsje minder. Ik had al snel een fietsbelletje gevonden, want ik weet inmiddels dat als je een beetje doorfietst, je altijd mensen tegenkomt die met twee of drie man naast elkaar blijven fietsen. Een helm heb ik ook uitgezocht en dat bleek niet eens zo makkelijk met mijn kleine koppie. Gelukkig was er nog een een of ander modelletje dat niet al te slecht zat en daarmee ben ik dus ook naar huis gefietst.

Op de terugweg bleek ik al vrij snel in Zevenhuizen uit te komen en heb ik nog een extra lusje langs de Rottemeren gemaakt. Dat was ook wel leuk.

Van Zevenhuizen door Nieuwerkerk en via Hitland weer naar huis en toen zat er weer 44 km op. Onderstaand de route in Google Earth als je op het plaatje klikt.

Nou nou, eerst die loop (waarvoor petje af) en vandaag weer 44km op de fiets. Doe het je niet na (geen van beide)

Bekende route voor ons. Inderdaad zeer de moeite waard.... maar ja.....vaak die wind daar....

@ anneke: Op de fiets valt het allemaal wel mee. Alleen wind is erg lastig, dan kom ik echt te kort. Op dat lekkere fietsje gaat het bijna vanzelf ;-)

@ guus: jazeker, de weg over de dijk is zelfs voorkeursweg van de navigatie. Onbegrijpelijk maar waar. Het is er echter nooit druk eigenlijk

@ nel: nou er zijn mooiere stukken natuurlijk maar ik moest hier nou eenmaal zijn ;-)
